Ladies Saddle Up is a specialty trip for "women only"

Ladies grab your mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and co-workers for a Wilderness Adventure. Travel by horseback into the Historic Gold Meadows Cabin. Spend your time relaxing with a good book, hiking the many trails, taking photographs, or swimming in the gorgeous high mountain lakes. Ladies come pack in for a refreshing escape from the pressures and tensions of everyday life. Remember, no cooking and cleaning required on this outdoor adventure. You will leave with memories of your new best friend-your horse-and a taste of spirit from life in the old west.

Outfitters provide fun and excitement. Sleep tents are available or you may choose to sleep out under the stars. The cooks provide delicious home cooked meals with complimentary wine. You need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, personal gear and a good novel.

Lewis and Clark Trail Ride

Ride the historical Lewis & Clark Trail! Our Professional Outfitters and guides are permitted to host a trail riding trip on the original Lewis & Clark Trail. The trips include a guided tour on gentle riding stock for either a three day or a single day trail ride. These sites are only accessible on foot or by horseback. Bring your friends, family, teachers, or corporate employees for a back country retreat and experience an adventure of a lifetime. To ensure the quality of your experience the spaces are limited to 12 guest riders per trip and parties maybe combined to meet the minimum requirement.

The 3-Days Trip - The Historical Lewis & Clark Trail

The trip begins in Kamiah, Idaho and ventures up to the Lochsa River located in the Clearwater National Forest. Upon arrival to 12-Mile Saddle, you will mount up and hit the trail! You will visit many historical sites such as Sinque Hole, Smoking Place, Greensword, Dry Camps, Sherman Peak, Horse Sweat Pass, and many others. Outfitters provide three fun and exciting days and two nights. The deluxe outfitter campsites include sleep tents, hot showers, delicious backcountry cuisine, and historical discussions around a cozy campfire.

This trip includes transportation to and from Lewiston, Idaho Airport, lodging day before/after last day of your trip, professional guides, cooks, and staff, and Idaho sales tax . You need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, personal gear. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.

The Single Day Trip - Lewis & Clark Trail

The trips start and end in Kamiah, Idaho. You will drive to the trail head and saddle up to ride along the original Lewis & Clark Trail. Lunch is provided on both these trips. Option #1 is a shorter trail ride 3.5 miles available from May - September. Option #2 is 5 miles available from June - September. The cost for either of these trips is $125.00 per person. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.

PADDLE & SADDLE TRIP

The Paddle and Saddle trip begins with one full day of whitewater rafting and one full day of horseback riding. The vacation of a lifetime on a timeless journey along Idaho's wild and scenic Lochsa River located in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. Breathe in the fresh mountainous air for two fun filled days. Explore the rugged wilderness and see the backcountry of Idaho. Experience the pioneer spirit like Lewis & Clark.

The first day, you enjoy an adventurous day of whitewater rafting down the famous Lochsa River. The whitewater adventure consists of rafting class III/IV rapids with a deli style lunch being served.

Second day, you travel along the Lochsa River Historical Trail by horseback to the Lochsa Historical Ranger Station for a tour and lunch. Remember to look around for sightings of elk, deer, black bear, golden eagles and other animals while listening to the roar of the Lochsa River.
